The organising committee of this conference invites submissions of high quality theoretical or empirical research papers on green banking and finance.
Global warming and environmental degradation forces policymakers to make far-reaching decisions, increasingly exposing banks and financiers to severe climate policy risk. Financiers and investors may want to pursue sustainable investing and hedging strategies and consider the impact of global warming and the intensification of natural calamities on asset prices.The conferenceinvites papersongreenbanking andfinance. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Climate (policy) risks and the pricing of financial assets
The impact of financial markets on global warming
Global warming and financial stability
The provision of credit to polluting industries
Sustainable investing and hedging
Impact of global warming and intensification of natural calamities on real estate and commodity prices
HOW TO APPLY
Please send your submission to: steven.ongena@bf.uzh.ch.The deadline for submission is 6pm (GMT), 15 December 2019. Authors will be notified about the acceptance of papers and the conference program by January15, 2020. There is no conference fee, and economyair / 2nd class train tickets and accommodation will be covered for the invited presenters and discussants.

The conference will be held at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. There will be 8 papers and discussions.
Economic and Political Studies (EPS), an ESCI and Scopus listed journal hosted by Renmin University of China and published by Taylor & Francis Group,will publisha special issue on “Green Banking and Finance”.The deadline forthesubmissionto the special issue isMay 15, 2020.Papers should be submitted to the Special Issue Editor Steven Ongena (steven.ongena@bf.uzh.ch) and our online submission system Editorial Manager System:
