On March 11, the School of Finance, Renmin University of China (SFRUC) held an online meeting with Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University (LKCSB, SMU). The two sides shared thoughts on the dual master degree program and other possibilities of potential international cooperation. Prof. Zongxin Qian, associate dean of SFRUC, Yuanyuan Song, director of the Center for International Programs at SFRUC, Prof. Benedict Koh, associate dean of LKCSB and Danny Xue, head of recruitment at LKCSB attended the meeting.
As the meeting began, Prof. Qian and Prof. Koh firstly introduced each school’s recent development then reviewed the cooperation of the two schools in the past few years.
About the Global Master of Finance Dual Degree Program, Prof. Koh pointed ou that Singapore is a perfect country for Chinese students as Chinese language is widely used in Singapore and Singapore is very diverse and inclusive. Meanwhile, SMU has a professional career development team to enhance students’ occupational competitiveness and the alumni of SMU are well accepted by financial companies in both China and Singapore.
Prof. Qian pointed out that SFRUC would help LKCSB in marketing and proposed other international cooperation opportunities. At the same time, more online info sessions can be held to help students to know more about this dual degree program.
In the end, Prof. Qian and Prof. Koh expressed strong willingness to move forward the bilateral cooperation.
